Help needed for 40 Days for Life
I get many people who ask, "Does it do any good to come and pray at an abortion facility?"
And my response is always, "Oh, you bet it does!"
I'm always so thankful when 40 Days for Life comes around because things happen there at the Bloomington Planned Parenthood. The whole atmosphere changes. You can palpably feel a lot of the darkness move out, replaced by the Love and Light of Christ. And as a result, lives are often saved as was the case this past Thursday.
There were 2 WOMEN who didn't go through their scheduled abortion appointment and chose life for themselves and for their babies, praise God!!!
On Thursday we also witnessed many women going into the Women's Care Center, which is right next door to PP. WCC tries to be the first stop for women facing a challenging pregnancy. . .before they even get to PP. There was one young lady, in particular, who had just left the care center and walked past us as we stood and prayed on the sidewalk. We exchanged hellos, and then she stopped, turned around, and came back to us. She was beaming with such joy and blurted out, "I'm pregnant! Would you like to see my baby?"
She took out the 4-D image of her little 10-week old unborn baby. The details of that precious life--made in the image and likeness of God--were astounding. The baby, at such a young age, was even sucking his or her thumb! The image and that encounter with this young lady made us all the more grateful to God for just how much He has blessed us right here in Bloomington and fired us up to keep going.
Your prayers and sacrifices on behalf of the unborn, their parents, and for families are having an impact. Yes, it does so much good when you come and pray at the Bloomington Planned Parenthood. And even if in God's Wisdom He deigned to not permit to show us any fruit, we would still need to be there. . .for it is only right and just that we should give a public and prayerful witness against this abominable crime against God and humanity.
We need lots of help to cover the Bloomington Planned Parenthood in prayer from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., every day, until Sunday, November 5. Right now, I'm begging for your help for this coming Monday, October 2, and for a few spots on Tuesday, October 3. If you can take an hour or two, please let me know directly or sign-up online at www.40daysforlife.com/bloomington.
If you've never done this before and you are a bit apprehensive, I'll make sure that someone is there with you to show you where you can walk or stand and answer any questions you may have.
Again, thank you for your prayers and sacrifices during this 40 Days for Life campaign. As everyone surely knows, we need them now more than ever in our world today. God bless you.

Monica Siefker
